No, don't. Any of the operating system still needs an anti-virus software, anti-spy software, and a firewall in order to be safe to use.

Windows XP only has SP2 Office 2003 is at SP3. You still need to a install a good Virus / spyware protection program.

If you're asking about all the update patches for SP2 (XPSP3)Yes...they are necessary to keep Hackers out...but if you download and install a Virus, that's on you....that's what AntiVirus software is for...
