It can be a few days. Depending on what he got. I'm expecting a week at least of crankiness and fever from my daughter. One of the shots she should have a fever from tommorow, and another shot it won't show any side effects for about a week (if any)

Oh the doctor or the nurse didn't tell you over the phone to give him some Tylenol about an hour before he goes to get his shoots?

The best thing I can tell you is to give him some Tylenol and if that doesn't help him I would call he's doctor and let them know.

Yes it happens sometimes. With my daughter, I give her Tylenol or Motrin before her shots and she's usually fine. A little cranky and sleepy, but she doesn't have a fever.

Call your Public Health centre or health nurse.
