I am very early into my pregnancy (only about 5 weeks), and i went on the trampoline with my daughter the other day. a couple days later i started having a light brown discharge, a few hours later it was light pink. now i'm having a cramping like feeling in my lower back. i think i'm having a miscarraige. does it sound like i'm overreacting? if i am having a miscarriage, would jumping on the trampoline cause this?

I'm sorry to say that jumping on a trampoline, especially during your first trimester can indeed cause a miscarriage, although it is not very likely or common. Any vigorous excercise can be dangerous, especially if you overheat. The embryo is very fragile and at its most vulnerable at that stage and the way your symptoms sound, I would recommend you go see someone.... Reasong being, If something goes wrong, you could hemhorrage and bleed to death...I just had a miscarriage last month and the whole process took a very long time but with what's called a "missed miscarriage" with an early pregnancy failure (blighted ovum). No telling, if something is going wrong, how long you've got but I would say go to the ER. I really hope everything will be ok....My prayers are with you.

U need to go into your local Er,the closest one to you at the moment..During the first 3 months it is very crucial to be careful with your body during pregnancy..yes jumping like that could cause a miscarriage...the symptoms u are experiencing does sound like an impending miscarriage to me..spotting can sometimes be ok but accompanied by cramps in the back or tummy is usually a bad sign...everything could be fine, but it could also not be...u need to see a doc tonight,,,good luck!

Jumping While Pregnant First Trimester

If you're only a couple of weeks pregnant, no! Your baby is about the size of a grain of rice right now and there isn't a whole lot that goes on in the "outside" that can do harm, (excluding like a car accident, drugs, drinking, etc. You know what I mean.) You do not want to do any sort of "jarring" things or things where you can fall, later in pregnancy however. Like running, horse back riding, football or hockey, etc.

You shouldn't risk jumping on a trampoline when pregnant. You could very well be having one. If you go to the doctor, they won't tell you if the trampoline caused it or not. Good luck.

Jumping alone would not cause miscarriage. But you can easily fall, and get hurt which COULD so you shouldn't do it anymore. Brown/light pink is common and can be 'normal' in early pregnancy. Try not to worry! Congrats on your pregnancy.

i would at the very least call your own doctor. those types of activities (running jumping horse back riding) are supposed to be avoided in early pregnancy

This one's for reverse English on the 'Chicken Soup' saying: In this case..."It may not hurt, but it couldn't help."
Also, unless you are forced-to ... I'd advise against Bunjee-Jumping and Velcro Wall-Jumping.
Please be further advised that I am not a doctor and I recommend you see one about pre-natal care , in general. Good luck.
