well if you have your restore cd that came with the computer when you bought it use it. restart your pc from the cd. if not set like that you will need to enter the bios and set it. to go into the bios you will need to hit the delete key or F2 don't know what key your pc uses well hit the key when your pc is starting then once in the bios look for something like boot order to set your cd rom to boot first. after you do exit by saving it first. then follow the instructions on your cd(ohh if your computer says press any key to start from cd, do it)

well if you don't have the restore cd but have the OS cd do the same steps and follow what your OS says, I would format the hd once you get to that step. just to make sure.

well good luck

Put the Windows CD in and bootup...hit a key if asked to, to boot from CD...
Now it will ask if you want to install Windows or Repair...choose install, then it will say there's already a Windows operation system on the drive...click C to continue...Now, choose NTFS file system and do a FULL format of the drive...
Leave the CD in and let it reboot and do NOTHING...it will then start installing a FRESH CLEAN copy of the Windows Operation system on the Hard drive...that should be clear enough instructions...

First, save all important information, delete everything else, and then install Linux.
