Please don't answer if you're going to say "comfort" or "to express who I am", because someone's already said that :P. This is for a project about oppression of people who wear a certain type of clothing. So why did *you* wear the shirt you wore today?

I wore the shirt that I wore today because 1. it is comfortable 2. it is special to me and 3. because I could find it and it fit. I wore the pants I wore today because 1. they're comfortable 2. I like the material and 3. because they kind of match the shirt.

I wore my usual jeans and turtleneck shirt under a burnt orange raincoat that was originally expensive but I got it dirt cheap. It was damp and drizzling so I was dry and warm under that and my Golden Pond style rain hat.
I dress for cut, color, quality of fabic and most definitely comfort. I'd bet everything I had on was made overseas. But it's made well so I have no guilt about buying or wearing it because all things considered the price was right and bought in a discount store. Does that tell you anything?

It kinda seems like I have no choice. I look around at all the other girls in Los Angeles, and so many of them are girly-girls, stylish, cute, hip, trendy, etc. But if I dressed that way (and I've tried it), I feel like I'm wearing a costume! And people even treat me differently - like I'm an airhead or something, who's main concern in life is her choice of strappy sandals and color of pedicure. I guess I tend to stick to my low-rider blue jeans, black shirts and boots, and accessorize with my jewelry, red hair, and blue eyes. I'd rather be looked at and seen as myself, then judged by the wardrobe I've pieced together.
As for my shirt today? LOL - I had to do Community Service outdoors in the heat, picking up trash, and selected my beige long-sleeve jersey with the logo of Bat Conservation International on it!

it all depends on what I want people to see me as. If I want to look more profesional i'll wear a nice skirt with a silk blouse. If I want to seem more like a casual type I'll go with jeans(or shorts in the summer... maybe a denim skirt) and a plain t shirt and a light jacket. It also depends on where I'm going. If I am going to a dinner party I'll wear a black dress or something like that. so thats how I am. Where I'm going and what I want people to think of me!

I wore stretch jeans and a T shirt that says Maine that I got several years ago on vacation.I wore the T shirt today because it has happy memories attached to it.

I wore one of my favorite shirts today because I had work and no it really was not that comfortable cause it kept riding up. But it was just something that I chose for work and something to keep me covered. I really don't care how it makes me feel unless I'm having one of those girly days.

I used to be a fashionista of the first order; now I am older and live on an island that is semi-tropical I were big shirts and tank dresses and flip flops most of the time. Dress up for me is putting on a pair of Crocs Prima ballet slippers.

I love to show people what im about!!!! I dont like to explain myself, because everyone in the world judges you for what you look like!!!! So i show them!!! Im a rocker and absolutely love what i do!!! I wore what i wore today because it makes me feel proud of what i am and who I have become!!!!! Life is too short to say that dude sucks cuz he loves to rock out!!!!! but the shirt I wore today supported Escape the Fate!!!!!

I wore my shirt today because I wanted to impress, it's cute, chic, and from Paris! I went to school today, and I got so many compliments! It's important for me to know that what I wear looks good.

I wore the shirt because I wanted to be slightly dressier than just a regular tee shirt. I wore the jeans because they are one of my favorite pairs (very soft and comfy). I wore the shoes because they fit and they don't make my feet hurt. I wore my sweater because I like the way it makes me look and it doesn't make me feel fat or frumpy.
