For your first question, depending on whether or not you want a pre-paid or regular two-year contract plan, the price differs. Online, the price for the Sidekick 3 is $199.99 after an instant discount and a mail-in rebate. This price is for a new two-year contract. This price may not be the same as in the store or on the phone since the online prices are usually cheaper. (This is not the case for all phones though. I am just stating this so you are aware of it.) If you want to go pre-paid, the phone does not offer any discounts and/or rebates. The phone will be $399.99. (This price is even more than the suggested retail for the phone with a two-year contract.)

For your credit history deal, T-Mobile will run a credit check on you. They will see that you have not had any credit history and based on this, you will most likely have to put down a security deposit. This amount usually differs from $200-$500. Since you do not have any credit, you can use this as a way to build your credit, but you will have to pay this fee in order to sign a contract with them. If you can not do this, then you will have to go pre-paid. Going pre-paid will cost you just as much since you will have to pay more.

Go to the websites I posted below for more information on the phone. The first link is for a regular contract price and the second link is for the pre-paid price. But remember that this may not be the same price as when you go in a store. (I am not saying that the price in the store or on the phone will be more expensive, but this is what their customer service says and sometimes, it is the same.)

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I just got a Sidekick a month ago and it was $275 (including tax) and then I also got a $50 rebate (so it's around $225 total). I was already a Tmobile customer, though. You may be able to get it for $150-ish when you sign a new contract. I think they have Sidekicks available on the pay-as-you-go plans, too, so that might work for you if you have no credit.

Call ahead too. When I went to get mine they were sold out!!!

If you have no credit, you will have to put down a refundable deposit and pay a nonrefundable fee. The deposit is usually around $300 and the nonrefundable fee can range from $75-150.
