It shows great technique, including photos and videos of how to apply eyeliner.

I use Bobbie Brown "Smoke" Eyeshadow with an eyeliner brush (which has short, firm, thin bristles). Using eyeshadow versus a crayon, liquid or cake liner make it look more natural even if you are horrible at applying it. It just takes the harshness away. Dip your brush into the eyeshawdow and tap away the excess. Then gently hold down your eyelid and start at your inner eye and softly stroke the brush towards your outer eye. When you get better, you can create a big smokey eye for night time that also can look natural. Good Luck!

depends on what youre using...if liquid Id suggest a brand with a different applicator..I liked one in particular put out by l'oreal but now currently use clinique. It just takes practice I find and if you start running low you then have issues with the point on the applicator. With the stick variety it just takes making sure its sharpened well since the duller it is the thicker the line. I always apply it above my eyeshadow since I find then it makes it easier to control it and then after I blend it in with a little more eyeshadow if I dont like how it looks.

Don't try and go straight across in one line. Try smaller strokes so that they blend easier. If you want it darker, go back in the opposite direction. Always make sure your pencil has a point, otherwise you will get too big of a line. Also, go for a darker brown instead of black...it will give a more natural look and won't be as harsh.

the closer to your lash line you get it the more natural it looks. I steady my hand on the counter and lean in to the mirror so i'm not shakey. Also kind of pull your eye out to the side while you are applying it to that eye, that way there are no bumps or spots that are darker or bigger than others
