I agree with you. It seems like a set up and there are those that say that many non-spy people knew she worked for the CIA.

well... there is a HUGE trick here...
... the trick is... trying to get facts out of the CIA is about as easy as getting blood out of a stone...
they deal in deception and top secret issues...and don't like telling the public about any of it...
so basically... only the CIA seems to know exactly what she was doing... and they have said several times that what ever it was that she was doing, is top secret and can't be discussed...
what little they have said is that she seemed to be under cover... but not deep undercover... more a support agent that didn't have a full cover... apparently there are some that are much deeper under cover than others...
but, as far as I can tell... undercover is undercover... no matter how deep or "shallow" it is...
but much of it is still a mystery...
but the CIA does admit she did work for them...

Valerie Plame was an honored undercover CIA agent. That's no secret now.
Then a member of the Bush administration leaked it to the press because her husband, US Ambassador Joe Wilson stood up against the Bush administration concerning the Iraq War.

she deserves to have some justice over having her career ended.
the only 'screwy' things going on here is the lack of evidence on who set up the leak

doesn't does it? she was not under cover, so no cover was blown. But she and Joe both comitted nepotism and sedition and gave aid and comfort to the enemy in so doing. they should both be hanged! GWB's big mistake was in not arresting the both of them the minute he found out what that bastard was up to...Problem with niave Christians is that they fail to understand they have enemies.
