yup, you have a couple of choices:

1. get a microphone for your computer and record with windows media recorder (crappy quality though...)

2. get a microphone and a recording program (you can find some of these at musiciansfriend.com or ebay) and record into the program (depending on the microphone, it may or may not be crappy quality)

3. get a recording program and a direct line into your computer from the guitar and mix/record with the program (depending on the program you can get some pretty sick effects and it could sound pretty decent)

good luck!

Yes if you have an electric accoustic guitar then just get an adapter that goes from 1/4 inch to 1/8 stereo and then plug the 1/4 inch line into your guitar and the other end 1/8 into the microphone input of your computer ..then use your media player/recorder or any other recording software you may have..myself i use guitar pro4 you can download it off limewire or shareaza.. if you have an electric guitar then you will need a pre-amp because your computers mic input does not have enough power out to activate your pick-ups.so use and effects pedal or the headphone line out of your amp there are many configurations to use..the only thing you have to remember is that in all situations you will need a 1/8 line adapter to plug into your computer..have fun and if you need any more help feel free to message me..

Yes, there is an adaptor for an ampcord that goes into the microphone slot on your computer. You run out from the headphone jack in your amp, or from your effects processor if you have one.

yes, and with one of the many home studio programs, you can add or record bass, and drums, keyboard, or whatever to make a complete, multi-layerd song.
