Matta Fair is here again. But are consumers really getting great bargains or simply being tricked by some sales gimmick disguise as a fair?
For example I wanted to do a trip to a neigbouring country. As advertised by some tour agencies the price starts from RM 200 plus. But when I made enquiry with them, I was told the actual cost is RM 900.00 plus. This is ridiculous!
I wonder if anyone of you have some pleasant experiences or otherwise doing this supposedly bargain fair. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Generally, Matta Fair is a gimmick!

They often put the banners or price lists before tax to make it look cheap and affordable to all the customers. However, if you check it carefully, it might be cheaper only few $ after tax and all the hidden costs. Plus, all the airfares only good for a week or a month ticket. The terms and conditions from Matta Fair air tickets are appalling and just to mislead customers.

YES Its a gimmick? With all the terms and conditions, But there are hidden treasure inside there, Like any things you want to buy read the fine print, and if the condition suit you......

Pls note any thing advertise "from" is just that, Just like Air Asia and Tune Hotel, After all the add on's for the basic requirement, it may be slightly cheeper.

No, Matta Fair does offer very good/competitive fares. My family is a regular. Twice a year, my family will buy tickets to visit me (who is not living in Malaysia).

Bear in mind that these competitive offers has very limited seats. Once that class code is full, then even travelling on the same day, in the same aircraft and the same class, the fare will be higher. Only thing is that how many of these "specials" are offered to the public, but the specials do exist, I can vouch for that.
