If you were actually a tech you wouldn't have needed to take your PC to them in the 1st place.

I'm not certified but I know my way around any problem and build PCs as well.

Do Not Trust The Geek Squad!!! They are not helpful in any way. They will make you feel like a total nincompoop if you do not understand their language. I speak from experience. They have made me feel like less than human on many occasions. When I need computer advice, I go to my boss, her husband, or my uncle. Another words, go to someone who you trust, admire, or trust.
