A lesson that I took from the film is that we (as Americans) need to be very careful when we toss around words like "terrorist" because we could be ruining people's lives in other countries without even being aware of it.

Another lesson to take from it - that borders around countries do not separate us as human beings... only by rules and regulations... The Mexican woman cared very deeply for those children and was trying not to let the border separate her from them.

Well just look at the title. Babel comes from the biblical story of the tower of babel that was built in order for humans to be closer to god. As punishment for this god created different languages.

There wasn't really a moral but a message that depicts the problem of communication between cultures and languages while also showing the similarity of human problems between all cultures.
