glasses are dorky?I think that if they are chosen properly to suit a person's face....that they can look SEXY!who agrees with mea and why?i have glasses and people think of me as nerdy......but actually look GOOD in glasses!

I wear glasses and I certainly don't think I am nerdy or anyone else who wears them as nerdy! People for the longest time have associated glasses with dorks and nerd, but hey look at it this way, didn't they think the same about plaid and now look at places like Aber and AE and Aero..plaid is everywhere!!! Plus look at all the movie stars that actually wear them, I bet the people commenting about dorks and glasses don't think Angelina Jolie is a dork in hers!!!

Oh and to the first person to comment..you have an eyepatch..I wouldn't judge. To the second person to comment..flaws make us individuals, thank god or we'd all be b*tchy idiots like you!

Well hun I hope this helps, just my opinion of course, but I like my glasses and wouldn't change the fact that I wear them for anything!!

Maybe jealousy? For starters you sound fashion conscious which can intimidate others, second, in the high fashion magazines there are articles about how people actually buy glasses without scripts just to change their look -- I would guess it's like someone who loses a lot of weight - you look different and your friends don't know how to react so they do the natural thing and take shots. Just let it go and knwo you look good! (I've worn glasses since the sixth grade and even though I wear contacts - I still have 4 pair of glasses I switch off on days just because - one day my dentist couldn't believe how different I looked in my glasses -- which is what I wanted!)

The stereotypical nerd is portrayed with pants up to the waist, glasses,a pocket protector, etc. Glasses being a part of the nerdy list just puts anybody who wears them in that sort of position, I guess.

I wear contacts most of the time but also have a pair of wonderful glasses. Whenever I wear my glasses, my friends and co workers always tell me how good they make me look.

hey, where i'm from, people with perfect vision wear glasses to look smart, distinguished, or stylish. there are many styles to choose from so nobody has to look dorky anymore unless they're going for that as a style statement.

Omg I have glasses too. They are black and many men think they are sexy on me. You have to look good and confident in them and men will notice. But hey! everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

yah. THey make so many unique frames lately, that they just add to your style. I don't wear glasses, but if I did I wouldn't feel dorky. I'd pick some original frames and go on with it. THen people'd be like " Dang nice frames" and I'd be all like "Yep, I know."

i totally agree!! i have some cute light pink glasses that look nice and different...u know the stick on each side...u know how its at the top of each side?? well mine are at the bottom..they look upside down...they have a open heart on the side with a dangling pink gem....im always getting compliments about them.(and i got them at walmart).i think they are perfect for me..i look cute in them....as long as you know you look good in them then it doesnt matter what anyone says!! u go gurl!! :)
