what do you think of Kahlid Sheik Mohammed's confession of planning the attacks of 9/11. My guess is that you believe he's lying and still believe our government did it. Am I correct?

Honestly, anyone who thinks that our own government would cause the deaths of 3000 people are out of touch, and out of their minds.

Kahlid Sheik Mohammed is a commited terrorist. His statement truly shows us the intents of Islam. In his comment about the death of Mr. Pearl, the reporter that was beheaded, Mohammed stated, "I decapitated the head of that Jew with my blessed right hand." That truly shows that Islam hates Jews, Christians and any other "infidel", and their answer is to kill them, as the Qu'ran instructs them to.

No conspiracy theory there, he put it out there for all to see.

I think he had a part in planning it possibly. Was he the mastermind?...probably not. I still am contending that Osama was the mastermind behind 9-11. Whether or not he is alive is a different question. This whole nonsense that our government being behind it is as absurd as saying that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman in the assassination of JFK and that his gun contained a magic bullet that somehow caused Kennedy's head to go to the back and to the left. Was the US government behind it? No Way!!! But, the policies that are in place right now definitely did nothing to help prevent it from happening. One of the most grievous policies this country has ever had is our poor immigration policies...both illegal and legal. Don't get me wrong. I am all for those who seek a better life in this country and come in here the legal way. But even those numbers need to be curbed by the year. Those hijackers were more than likely illegal aliens who snuck in through our pourous borders to the north and south of us and acquired fake documentation and basically hid out in this country till it was time to perpetrate the worst terrorist attack on US soil since the bombing of Pearl Harbor. There are other policy failures that allowed for 9-11 to occur as well, but it is getting late and I can't think of anything else right now.

The man was kept at Guantanamo Bay, and who knows what happened to there, for almost four years. He will probably tried under the Military Commissions Act which can allow coerced testimony and hearsay evidence in trial. Allows the President to define what torture is. And can be denied a lawyer. Then yes, you are correct I still think that the government is lying to us and was probably behind 9/11. There is more to this than what the government is telling us.

that fireside did not melt both the metallic or the concrete, even if it did melt the metallic to the point the position it had no means to submit to weight, in different words, gentle. so some distance as concrete and fireplace, as long as their is moisture in any concrete it really is situation to definitely explode from the inner steam strengthen, accordingly teh highway should be ruined. metallic should be melted, even if it is going to normaly take more advantageous than an open fireplace to do it. Burning torches are one strong party, a centred warmth source, a lot hotter than open fireplace.

hmmm, yeah he is lying. He admitted to Bali bombings and they already had caught the people responsible for those bombings.

he admitted to all the major terrorist acts of the last 20 years, that people have already gone to jail for.

I live in Asia, and I remember when the Australians got so pissed off when they let the Bali bombers go. and he wasn't one of them.

Do yourself a favor, look up all the stuff he admitted to doing. more then likely your not going to find his name anywhere.

If someone tortured you, I bet you, you would admit to all of the major terrorist acts of the last 20 years aswell.

these people all have CIA ties, and that's provable, so yes it is our government that creates these monsters and much worse.

one more thing, even if you believe the "official version" of what happened on 911. then everyone in your words is a "conspiracy believer". that would mean you believe 19 men, (at first 24 but some were found alive) conspired and planned an attack to fly jets into the WTC.

Do you know how much time and manpower it takes to plan an excute military manuveres? I spent 10 years in the army, so I will tell you. It takes alot of people to make an attack work.

So when one man admits to all that this guy admited to I have to call BS.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed's alleged confession testimony has been thoroughly discredited after it emerged that one of the targets he identified, the Plaza Bank, was not founded until 2006, four years after the alleged Al-Qaeda mastermind's arrest.

In his confession, KSM claims, "I was responsible for planning, training, surveying, and financing for the New (or Second) Wave of attacks against the following skyscrapers after 9/11: ...Plaza Bank, Washington state."

KSM was arrested in March 2003. According to the Plaza Bank's website , the organization was founded in early 2006, making it impossible for KSM to have even known of the bank's existence before 2003, never mind plotted against it.

The facet of the Pearl murder and why the establishment would want to shut the lid on the whole affair by pinning the blame on KSM is interesting in the context that in September 2006, Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf fingered Omar Sheikh as Pearl's assassin, adding that he was an MI6 agent working for British Intelligence . In the transcript of his alleged confession, KSM cryptically discusses CIA and Mossad involvement in the Pearl execution but the text is heavily redacted.

KSM's claim that he ran the 1993 World Trade Center bombing is also highly suspect because it also conveniently sweeps under the carpet the fact that it was the FBI who provided the terror cell with the bomb materials through their informant and ordered the bombing to go ahead.

In addition, KSM was a known CIA asset in the eighties and was used as a go between during the CIA-funded Afghan "jihad" against the occupying Soviets.

It is well established that before his mysterious arrest as the alleged mastermind behind the September 11 plot, Mohammed was granted a visa to enter the US just six weeks before the terrorist attacks in Washington and New York.

Other questions that have arisen concerning the testimony revolve around KSM's Americanized use of the English language, including the term "A to Z," which many see as a form of slang that befits tabloid headlines more than it does the vernacular of radical Muslim extremists.

A CNN online poll shows that a massive 74% disbelieve all of
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------the claims made by KSM and BBC respondents were equally cynical.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think Progress makes the point that KSM's comments on torture and any potential reference to the fact that he was tortured himself are redacted in the transcript.

The upshot of all this is that the much vaunted KSM confession, which seems to have been intentionally inflated so the book could be closed on a number of nebulous plots cited by the Bush administration as justification for its policies, has blown up in the establishment's face and only succeeded in detracting credibility from the government's official 9/11 story and the mythical war on terror.

Yeah, a guy confessed, so... case closed, huh? Because nobody has ever been tortured into a confession! Get your heads out of the sand and start working to preserve the country that was once great.

Anyone who honestly feels there is some kind of a cover up on the 9/11 attack---------or the gulf coast katrina destruction------or global warming is either gullible or delusional--------don't you people realize that in this litigation oriented society that we live in today that if there were a conspiracy someone would tell it (to sell their book)----and then anyone from the top all the way down to the bottom would face trial by fire-----nobody in their right mind or in any other condition would dare think of such a fool thing.-------OUTRAGEOUS

Of course he's lying Cinner - don't you know that he was responsible for all the crop circles too?

LOL-Seriously, shouldn't these conspiracy believers theories be under the Jokes and Riddles section? If you have an IQ, they certainly are worth a laugh.

Hey, peaceandfearlesslove, I have to wonder if you even know what "crossing the rubicon"
refers to. Your spelling and grammer are deplorable.

For one....you have to be pretty oblivious to what has been going on in recent years. It is well documented that prisoners at guantanimo bay experienced torture. In addition, no lawyers or reporters were allowed in the facilities. He was there for 3 years. Please, his confession is hardly evidence for either side.

Look at the polls on CNN.com

Oh and For_Gondor, while you are correcting other people's GRAMMAR you might want to check your own.
