as long as there weren't any problems with the condom (breakage, etc) you should be fine but even so, they are never 100%. Sometimes periods can be a little bit wacky and different from month to month so you may have nothing to worry about. Even the stress from all your worrying may be throwing your period off. It depends how late your period is but you can always go to a Planned Parenthood office if you dont have a OB/GYN yet or dont feel comfortable talking to your parents. If you do have a good relationship with your mom, you might want to try talking to her about it. You could even buy a pregnancy test at a drugstore but just make sure you know how late you are because otherwise you might get a false reading. I hope you have someone to talk to and there are always options regardless of the outcome. good luck and stay safe.

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. I had the same issue when I had sex the first time. I later found out that stress can cause your period to go irregular. After the first time you get really stressed, mostly about getting pregnant and std's. Mine ended up being two weeks late. If it doesn't show after about three weeks, I would get a pregnancy test. Also, now that you are having sex, it is a good idea to get on birth control. Condoms work in a pinch but they aren't fool proof. You don't want to take any chances. Plus, you wouldn't have to deal with condoms. They kinda ruin some of the romance. Stay safe and good luck.

Well first of all condoms, are not always affective so unfortunately there is always a chance of pregnancy. However your probobly fine honey, if he used a condom, your most likely not pregnant...so its ok you can relax now ; ) .... When i first started having sex, i went through the same paranoia. Constantly worrying about being pregnant can stress you out to the point that your period will be late. Give it a few more days and I'm sure it willl arrive... try not to think about it, but of course if a week or so goes by you may want to take a test...Good Luck

If you used a condom, and you used it properly, the chance that you are not pregnant is 97 - 99 percent. (I have seen both stats.)

Notice I did not say 100 percent. Even condoms are not 100 percent effective. No birth control method is. This is why you need to choose very carefully when to have sex and who you have it with.

I assume you are quite young. If you have not been having your period for very long yet, your cycle may not be exact. Do you keep track on a calendar? (I'd advise you to do this.) If you have a recent history of having an EXACT cycle -- meaning always the same number of days between periods, you might want to think about getting a morning-after pill. You might want to think about doing so anyway, but as I said above, if the condom was used correctly, the likelihood of you being pregnant is slim. Possible, but slim.

As they say a watched pot never boils and I think that perhaps you are worried over nothing. If you end up a few weeks late then start to worry. By the sound of it you may be young and periods are often erratic in young women and as you have stated that the man used a condom, try not to think the worst when as yet it has not happened. Just relax and wait. Your period will more than likely come and if it doesn't then you can worry. Condoms can break at times, but nothing is saying that this has happened to you. Just wait and see what happens and relaxing will make the wait a bit more bearable.

Gurl calm down....When I was 14 and started having sex I was just like you freaked out. Usually I would stress so much that that was the reason I didn't have a period. Stop thinking about it so much and if you're really concerned go to the drug store and buy a home pregnancy test they work good. I know you might be nervous when you go buy one but its always better to know. Also, I suggest that you go see an OBGYN to get tested and to get on some birth control if a baby is not something you want yet.

You're too young to be having sex if you don't know the consequences. Condoms break and then what will you do?

Read up and find out everything you need to know about pregnancy. You have a fertile time (when you ovulate) which is usually 12-16 days after your period starts. If your cycle is consistently 28 days long. Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to getting your period so it is sometimes difficult to calculate when your cycles are irregular.

Sperm can live on average of 2-4 days.

Your period can be late due to stress too. There's so much to learn and not enough space on here to teach.

If the condom was used correctly, you should be ok, however most men don't know how to use one correctly unless they are shown, and by the sound of your age, I would question his ability.
Please take a home preg. test, or go to your nearest free clinic. Also, take the boy and have him learn to use a condom correctly.
Sometimes a young girl who has her first time can have hormone issues after the fact, and she can skip, or even have a heavier or lighter period than normal.
I am very glad to hear that you and your boy used a condom, you may also want to consider a seecond method of birth control too, just to make sure you don't have this scare again.
Good luck!
