I don't have a good relationship with one of my managers from work. You know when you get negative unspoken vibes from a person sometimes? It's like that. He's happy go lucky around the other workers, but when it comes to me, he doesn't laugh or joke around even when i'm attempting to have a lively conversation. Not to mention he has really high expectations, and even when I make an unimportant mistake, i'm instantly under his spotlight about it. I really don't get it, and even though I know I shouldn't take my job to heart, it's something that's been bothering me lately. I haven't said anything out of line, I try my best to follow what I need to do, but he still gives me crap. I'm fine with everyone else at my job except him, and it's getting to the point where i'm dreading to come into work everyday. Any solutions? I like my job, and I like the other people I work with, and I want to try to keep things good between everyone, but it's not working with my manager for some reason =(

Try talking to him. Maybe it's something you did that offended him without you realizing it. Talk to him, and if he still acts the same way, I really dont know what to say except either just dealing with it or finding a better job. You shouldnt have to dread coming to work.

Has anyone else at work noticed that he's treating you differently? Ask a few coworkers that you can trust to be discreet if they've noticed anything about his behavior, and what their take is on why he's acting this way. They deal with him too, so they may have some good insights to share about what might be going on, and whether there's anything you can do to change things for the better. A word to the wise, though: you might want to start polishing your resume, because no matter how much you like your job now, if this guy continues to dump on you, you might be better off working somewhere less stressful for you. If things can't be improved, you won't have much a future to look forward to there.

Your manager may have feeling for you but is married and cant bring himself to cheat on his wife. So he gets anger at you because he cant get with you like he wants to.He don't deal with his feelings to well. Maybe you should ask him what have you done to make him so anger at mistakes that you makes. Sound like to me he likes you but is having a hard time dealing with his own feelings.
