I really don't believe a person needs a ton of people at their funeral...at my mom's it was like a mad house it sounded almost like a family reunion..and all the laughing and talking....endless amounts of people...and I felt like dying and couldn't get away..well wishers wouldn't leave me alone...said it was not good to be alone after something like this..well for me, it would have been a blessing.......so, I changed my mind on funerals after this ...I don't attend any..I will send a note with a live flower arrangements......and when I die...my husband and children has been given instructions...no funeral.....send my body on to be cremated...and I don't give a rats ___ what they do with the ashes.. ...I would never want my children to have to experience what I did at my mom's..

I don't need a ton of people to show up at my funeral. I could care less if any body shows up because I will be in bliss!

You go to a funeral to pay your respects to the departed. That has absolutely nothing to do with how "good"you were. The people who show at your funeral, whenever that is,will be the ones who loved you,or people who heard that you passed and respected you.Why...who do you know that is dying and wants people to attend to show how"good" they were?

And what does this have to do with music?

I'm going to half-way agree with Paulieseed's answer and say that funerals are more for the mourners to get together and remember the deceased than for the deceased themselves.

Those people won't know who show up to their funeral because... they are dead. It doesn't matter te quanity of people who show up it's what they meant to the person who died and what the person who died meant to them.

The person that died could care less.. They are dead.. I think that is more their family and friends showing final respect for a loved one.
