I find myself sometimes daydreaming. I know I am all grown up (okay I am 31), but there is still a part of me that is still stuck in 1988--I was thinking about being 12 and turning 13 the next year and some of the things that life had to offer then were big things to me. How many of my fellow thirtysomethings/generation Xers look back on their lives with nostalgia?

daydreaming at any age is wonderful and normal, unless it starts to fill every waking moment you have. then it may be a signal that something in your life isn't satisfying you. As we age we all look back and think if only, what if, why didnt i, why cant it be like that, who knows where the time goes. Nostalgia is common and normal at any age. Most of the time I supposed you are living in the here and now, the present, experiencing the present.

Well, I recently turned 39, so I do still qualify as a thirtysomething, right?? LOL

OF COURSE I still daydream. I often contemplate what was, what is and what will be...basically on a daily basis. There's nothing wrong with that.

You make it sound like daydreaming is a bad thing even if it doesn't take over your life.

Daydreaming is not always bad im not in my 30's yet but i still daydream. there are good things about it. take a look at the website. (everyone)

And yes daydreaming is availible to all age groups and without it there wouldl be no invention.

I'm long past the 30 something,(54) but I tend to daydream too.

I think it's something we'll never outgrow.
