I have gotten into UC Merced and UC Santa Cruz, and I want to major in a science like Biotechnology or Physics. Which would you say is the best school? I'd especially like to hear from students of those schools. :)

I didn't go to either, but for what it's worth, UCSC is a fairly decent school for science. Don't know about UCM since as you probably know it is a very new school.
What I have heard from UCSC students is that a lot of people there are drug users, especially pot. Some people might love this, others not so much. The campus is the most beautiful in California, and the city of Santa Cruz is very fun.
Fresno, well, it's the central valley, and kind of a depressing city. To me at least. I hope you visit both campuses to get a feel for what they are like.
