do you have the HUGE ps2? (original) or the newer smaller one? the older ones have a "bug" well mine did newer games wouldn't work at all...old ones did fine...so i got a small ps2 and it worked fine...that just might be your problem...

Many times there is a slight smudge or foreign object somewhere on the disk which is unnoticeable. Try running the disk under warm water and cleaning it with a drop or two of liquid dishwashing soap. Just rub it between your fingers until you hear a squeaky clean sound. Then dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth or paper towel. This also works for movie DVDs that give you trouble. Then pop the game back in and play away! This has worked for me many, many times!

Good luck!

Try getting a lens cleaner (you can buy a little CD with brushes on it at somewhere like Wal-Mart). It may be that your lens is just dirty.

get the slim ps2 because if the laser to rad the disks is scratched it is easy to repair but with the original ps2 you have to open it up and fix it that way.
