A total of 767,140,000 Sacajawea Golden Dollars were minted at the Philadelphia Mint (2000-P), and 518,916,000 at the Denver Mint (2000-D). Both were business strikes. A total of 4,047,993 Proof version Sacajaweas were also minted at San Francisco Mint, but these were produced strictly for collectors and sold at premiums in sets. The 2000 mintage figures are considered a "big production" compared to Sacajaweas production numbers of the following years. In 2001, less than 10% of the 2000(P & D) figures were minted.
