not usually. hate to say it, but it sounds like theres been someone else. when the baby is born, demand a blood test. it might not be yours and you could end up paying child support forever.

Sounds like your first child. Sounds like you did the whole Nine Months movie thing- where you just couldn't express yourself, etc., and you withdrew out of fear...
Or maybe I'm totally wrong.
But women need your support. If there is one time in a woman's life where she actually feels entitled to something other than emotional and physical slavery, this is it.
Go find out what's the real problem.
Bless you all.

Just mood swings? Not likely. Certainly not if you had good, solid marriage. If she really left you there must be something more to it. You just have to talk to her and ask her what is going on. No one else can tell you why she left. It would be pure speculation with no basis in reality.

could it be 'you' that is causing her mood swings? if so , then yes she can and she will. i've been there, done that!! i was in labour and i was packing my things to get out and move on.
if its some hormonal thing that is causing her mood swings, then i can't really help you...all i know is we can become very very moody, just be there for her and baby, like you should, and she'll eventually come back in time. she could be just scared too.
good luck...and to her and baby as well
