have floor mats in my car therefore the driver side, has a hole where my heel rests when I drive. The hole is in the carpet , not the metal part. Is there a way I can repair this, then put a mat on the floor? Do I have to replace the whole carpet?? It doesn't bother me, but if I ever decide to sell the car I don't want to worry about it then. I want to fix it now.

i own a repair shop, and the only way to fix it is replace the whole carpet set,and there's one good thing to doing that,if you do decide to sell it ,it will help it sell a lot better, people always notice the carpet in a car, it reflects on how well the car has been taken care of,but that's the only true way to repair it right, good luck i hope this helps.

Replace the carpet, and get a cheap pair of floor mats. That's about the only way to do it right. You should be able to order the carpet from an on-line source or a parts catalog like JC Whitney.

I'm sure it's a really nice car. Put a f'ing floor mat over it and get on with all of the other things that you should be doing in your life. I know I sound like a jerk, but what kind of car are we talking about here? How much oil does it leak? How are the brakes? How are the tires? Seriously. Get REAL.

I would cut the hole a little bit bigger in a square shape and then cut a same size piece from hidden area of carpet in your car and glue it back in, last brush carpet to blend in piece.

I would also suggest replacing the air filter, oil filter, and if your car has over 75k miles the spark plugs too. This will make the car lost longer and run much more happy.

Go to a salvage yard and get a carpet for your car.
