Well I no this must be very hard to deal with. Has he asked for a raise or talk to the boss about one. I mean if they really do like him they might think about a rasie and if they no that he might quit they might take second thoughts about losing him. He might just look around online for another job because if they are working him way to hard this is not good for him health wise. If he has vacation time take it off and find another job. We all need money but working to hard is not worth it if it is going to make you sick.

Got vacation time? Take it and use the time to find a new job.

All he has to do is search the internet or local classifieds and find some job listings that he finds interesting. Send in a resume and hope for a call. If they don't call, then call them and ask to schedule an interview. It shouldn't be that time consuming.

If that doesn't work then he needs to start saving as much money as possible, about 2-3 months of expenses, then just quit. Surely he can find a new job within 3 months time.

There is ALWAYS time to job hunt. He doesn't work 24/7 (gotta sleep sometime). Looking a classified ad while eating is not uncommon. Sounds like a hard worker, but he's got too understand that there is something better out there if he scouts around. Good Luck.

Work is 8 hours. Sleep is 8 hours. He has 8 hours left in that 24 hour day to search for a new job if he is really that miserable.
