I know they get tender after ovulation and it is also a symptom of pregnancy (I recall from when I had my son), BUT... if you are pregnant, would you still get the pre-menstrual breast tenderness? Does the fact that it happens after ovulation make a difference if you are pregnant or not? I hope I am making sense and getting my point across! :)

Breast tenderness is actually often associated with the progesterone spike, which is part of ovulation. You could still have pre-menstrual breast tenderness as a normal PMS symptom. I get breast tenderness most months.

I am trying to figure out the same thing, but the fact is, breast tenderness could mean both pregnancy and pms, so its hard to tell. However I have heard many people say, they were completely unaware of being pregnant because they had all of the symptoms of getting a period right when their pms was supposed to begin. Well I hope that was what you were asking ; )
