When I would walk in the mornings in the park, there was a constant group of the same people there. we became like silent friends, nodding and acknowledging each other, sometimes saying hi.
One older man stopped me once, to tell me how much I had changed in appearance since I first started walking there. I had lost about 40 lbs at that point, and he was losing weight too. That made me happy. I call them my "park friends" though we don't really know each other.
kind of like my P&S friends.

I am an intern working in a high school and there is this one student who walks around with no hair on his head or eyebrows. I suspect he has alopecia, and I do also so I would like to go up to him and ask him questions about how he copes with it, the onset of the condition, etc. But I probably never will...

l'm embarrassed to say this but yes, there are people l often see not knowing their names. They are mostly from the neighborhood. l'm not a snob. l just happen to be too private.
