I shouldn't think that it's ever happened. I would say that if it did it would depend on the funeral employees to whether they took the cast off or not. They probably would if it was an open casket service but I'm not sure if they would bother for cremation and a closed casket unless it was likely to cause problems in the cremation of the body. Of course I could be wrong as I am only guessing due to never hearing of this happen before.

I am sure they do but it will save them some time if you are over 5'7" tall.
I have heard more than once that if the deceased is over 5'7" tall their legs have to be broken to fit in the casket . I am not sure how true this is, but I have never seen caskets available by size unless they were built for someone obese.
Something to think about, I guess it isn't so bad to only be 5'4"!

BG, of course they don't break the legs of dead bodies, how ridiculous.
For the record, they remove the cast if they can, but not always. I know this from personal experience.

I would think so!
I watched a programme once that was investigating a murder of a victim - they didn't know who it was -but they got cremated and they had metal pins in their legs - this resulted in the catching of the killer after the true identity was confirmed!!!
Sorry that was not really relevant to your question!

Of course...because you can't go dancing in Heaven with a cumbersome cast on your leg.

I should think so and maybe the family can keep the cast as a keepsake. Especially if it's been autographed. ha ha

I do believe that they'll take the cast off. Embalming you know.
