Creating Slow-Releasing Tablet Toilet Dye For St. Patrick's Day?
I want to put something into the tanks of all the toilets at my school, so that everytime somebody flushes, the tank will fill up with green water! (Btw, I already know im a genius haha!)
Anyway, I need some way to place a dye in the tank. Any suggestions on how to do this? I couldnt just stick a bunch of liquid green food coloring, because after one flush all of it would be gone. It has to be a dye that releases every time the tank fills up with water. (By the way, the tank is the thing BEHIND you back when you go, its not the thing you sit on.)

I was thinking I could mix LOTS of green food coloring with a powder, let it dry hard, and then drop that tablet like thing into the tank. It would then slowly release. (theoretically anyway)

Thanks!

Well, Im thinking of the bottle idea...however I think using a mesh or gauze screen would work well. So I would fill the bottle with powdered dye, plug the end with a few layers of gauze, and then use elastic bands to hold the gauze over the mouth of the bottle. Any other ideas?

Dont mock my idea. If you have nothing to contribute, then go elsewhere.
Plus, I play guitar for a band, so that automatically makes me amazing and smart haha.

Go to the discount store and buy some of the toilet tank cleaners (lots of these are bottle forms) - they are usually blue in color - but sometimes they are already green. Anyway - if they are blue - just add yellow dye or maybe dark green dye with a syringe. Then just place in the tanks.

Try using Rit dye. It's a clothing dye and is found in Walmart. Search the internet for making a hard colored tablet. You never know what you'll find on the internet!

WOW, YOU PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO THIS. WHY NOT GET A SMALL PLASTIC SODA BOTTLE AND FILL IT W/GREEN DYE AND TAKE A NAIL ,POKE HOLES IN IT AND DROP IT INTO THE TANK! IT WILL RELEASE SLOWLY. BUT BE NICE AND REMOVE IT AT END OF DAY!
NOW WHOS THE GENIUS!

Yeah I am sure a saint would appreciate being honored by vandalism.
Being a moron has nothing to do with genius. It may seem like a good idea, but it's incredibly juvenile. "Powder"- yup that's a high IQ theory.
Put your effort into getting better grades.
