i think it is a big historical lie. iran has a ancient culture and iranian in many century ago didnt attack to another country .what a bout usa ? i think many countries like iraq,afghanistan,vietnam,japan,...
i think the director of this movie isnt that amateur director .i think they are the new rightist and zionism .
iranian dont have slave at all in the history. iranian had written first man rights declaration.iranian king paid money to worker who had built persepolis and didnt have a slave for that.
and i suggest to usurper country that you will see some thing else in the real if you would attack to iran .
you wont be win even by 300 millions solders
and the other thing about iranian face,i suggest you come to iran and see face of iranian men and women and see which of us are beautiful we or you?i dont want to insult amerian people execuse me usa people

i hate to prove your wrong, but 300 is based off a true story. Here is the real story, you can tell what parts of it are false on the movie: 300 spartans with several thousand other greeks went to go fight the invading persian army on a religious holiday. they fight in a narrow pass becuase that was the one open passage to the main cities of greece. the end all 300 spartans fought alone because the spartan leader did not want needless loss of life and so he sent the other greeks home. All the spatran greek soldiers died and it is true that they killed several thousand (10,000 to be exact) persians in the battle. This give time for the rest of greece to gather their armies to fight. while all the monsters and the drama are not true in the movie, the base of this tale is. The battle of thermopylae was true, go to history. com to see a 3 minute video in it.
PS- "Come home with this shield or upon it" was a real statement made by a Spartan women equiping her husband for war.

I know Iranians and Persians are almost the same thing, but you should really call them Persians, just for the historical accuracy.

lol bro ur right..first native americans where savage in hollywood films..then blacks and vietnamis..then arabs and now persians..i pity americans..this story base on true story but there were never 1 million iranian soldier tht time..just 100000 soldiers(1/10)and 300 sparts killed 1200 iranian soldiers and all been killed by persians..
