I'm tiny at 5'3'' and 120 pounds. I also had tiny babies my son being 7 pounds and my daughter being 6 pounds. My son was 2 weeks early and my daughter was 4 weeks early so had they gone to term they would have been 8 pounds or so, I just don't think my body could handle it so I had them early. Both were healthy as could be, just small. My sister in law however is over 6 feet tall and is around 200 pounds. Her son was nearly TEN POUNDS! He was also two weeks late so had she gone into labor on time her son would've been normal sized. Kids put on i/2 pound to 3/4 of a pound a WEEK the last few months so you've got to adjust for gestational age when considering the size of a baby. My sister in law is so big I just figure she had more room to incubate her kid for a longer amount of time, lol. There are alot of other factors that come into play too like whether or not the mom is obese, has diabetes, eats healthy, does drugs, etc.
For the person who says big babies come from healthy enviroments and are given the best chance that is not true. While I was pregnant I ate healthy, avoided all smoke, did moderate excersise, and didn't drink. My babies may have been on the small side, but that doesn't mean I did something wrong. They were and still are perfectly healthy. My son is almost two and he has only ever been sick once, and that was a reaction to shots he was given at 18 months. My daughter is 9 months and has never been sick.

I haven't noticed anything like that. I wore a size 6/7 before I was pregnant and my daughter was 6 lbs. 9 oz. My friend wore a size 9/10, her daughter was 7lb. 7 oz. My neighbor wore a size 5, her son was 5 lbs. 2 oz. (but he was a preemie). My mom wore a size 3/4 before all 3 of her pregnancies and my sister was over 7 lbs., I was over 8 lbs., and my brother was just under 7 lbs. I guess it justs depends on the person.

I was a size 11/12 before pregnant with my first and she was 6lbs 5oz. I was a 9/10 before number 2 and she was 7lbs 2 oz There isn't a correlation though to my weight. She's still well within range of what she should be based on my height and my husband's weight, compared to my first who will be shorter than my 2nd but still about as tall as I am. My sister was a size 6 with her son and he was 6 lbs 9oz. It's just genetics. I am also built differently from my sister and was 4 lbs 7 oz at birth (6 weeks early), but I'm stalkier like my dad who has a barrel chest, short stature, with rounded shoulders. She's slender everywhere.

i think it just depends on the person and how much weight they gain during the pregnancy not their dress size
