a couple days ago they started crackling whenever i played my ipod a little bit loud. i really dont feel like wasting money to get new ones is there any way to get rid of the crackling?

well i'm not exactly sure if this will help but mine were crackling a bit and all I had to do was push the headphones alittle farther into the iPod... that's all I can really think of, sorry if it doesn't help... good luck

Yes, you could try a different pair of headphones but if that doesn't work then make sure that the bit rate of the files you put on your ipod are over 190. If you use limewire then you can see the bit rate on the right side of the screen, if you import your music from a CD then go to preferences in ITUNES and click the import tab.. Click Custom and make the bit rate at least 190 if not higher. It will create a bigger file size but it is worth it...
