If you want a luxurious, smooth riding SUV, the ML350 may be right for you. Interior plastics are top-quality and the standard 8 way power seats with manual lumbar support are very supportive and comfortable. Second row legroom is also ample, though the cargo hold is smaller than expected (about the size of a new X5's cargo hold). Ergonomics are great with Comand, and everything is very well laid out.
On the other hand, the ML350 is extremely pricey after checking the option boxes for such features as navigation, heated seats and rear entertainment. RELIABILITY wise, the ML is absolutely abysmal. Consumer Reports rated the ML with the lowest possible reliability score, and replacement parts are expensive.
Hope this helps you.

Unfortunately the M amd ML series are some of the worst vehicles to wear the three pointed star. You could be lucky, some people are. Mercedes-Benz has lost the plot and have been rated 127th of 137 cars available in the UK for reliability recently. The overall rating by the "Dog and Lemon Guide" for 2006 is "Avoid Like the Plague". Get a Toyota if you want a four wheel drive soft roader.

Only if you enjoy changing parts on a weekly basis and crave screaming migraines. The first year productions were loaded from the factory with bugs and MB ended up giving away engines because they kept self-destructing. Also, much of the ML's electronics like to spontaneously screw up when you can't afford to fix it, so save your money. Trust me. You'll be glad you DIDN'T buy it.

No, mercedes and bmw are overated machines that break down just as much as any other car, but cost 3 times more to fix. They usually get less gas mileage than other cars too. So i would suggest a honda element.
