ok i asked this a few weeks ago but i am not satisfied with the responses. 100% of the answer-ers seemed to agree that timbaland really is a poor musician, extremely unoriginal, uninteresting, very repetetive, predictable, full of himself...but if this is how people feel, why is he famous? i almost puked blood when i heard that he is producing some of BJORK's and MADONNA's new stuff. PEOPLE, why are you sinking so low? if you want your albums to be boring, just save the royalties and have a child play "twinkle twinkle" OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. it'll get the same musical effect.
please offer me a serious answer why timbaland is famous and why celebrity musicians fawn over him. is it because he is a hit-maker?

apparently, nobody can tell me. it's been two hours and not a single bite. that pretty much answers my question. he's on minute 14:59 of his 15 minutes.

Timbaland is a talented producer. Timbaland has produced hits for more than just Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado. He has worked with the likes of Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Lil Kim, Bubba Sparxxx, Aaliyah, and others. Hell, Missy Elliot owes a great deal to Timbaland for the majority of her hits. Sure you can tell a Timbaland produced track when you hear it, but you can say that about a lot of producers. In my opinion, his sound is difficult to copy and he will change it up occasionally.

Well, he has produced a HUGE number of hit records in a short period of time...artists these days want to work with whoever is "hot" at the moment. I am sure that his time will be up shortly......

nothing personal, but i dont like timberland, i think they like him because that hit "I'm bringing Sexy Back" that song hit the charts, so they want timberland as one of those ft. to songs to get them on the charts also

He makes musics that are refreshingly current which every youth can relate to.

i personally don't like him but my friends say that they like him bcuz they think he is hot. they also think that he has great music and a nice voice.
