in my opinion,we shall not expect for fast changes after marriage.if possible, the good things remain and the bad things we try to recorrect them.actually, not all the habits in each partner brings bad influence to the relationship.for me,tolerance and patience really needed if we want to maintain the relationship.about some people would love his/her significant other to change after the marriage, sorry to say i consider them as selfish...let's time heals everything

Don't expect marriage to make changes in a person. Bad habits and/or unhealthy choices should been addressed and worked out before marriage.

I'm married and other than being slightly (and I mean slightly) less argumentative - I'm the same as I was before. I don't always think it's about 'changing' so much as growing weary of certain habits over time.

well, its not really that they are changing... but whe you get married, you create a world of your own... where, if ever truly necessary, the two of you could keep each other alive and safe without anyone else... therefore, you tend to spend the most time with ur spouse... but that does not mean that married couples do not spend time with their friends, without the other... i spend lots of time with my friends.. however, if my girlfriends are going to engage in an activity that is usually reserved for single people, like getting drunk and meeting guys, well, i couldn't do that.. which is why i have a hard time being close friends with people who are like that... when u get married, u agree to love honor and respect forever, but not isolate...

If a person really loved their spouse they would...but most people are selfish and donot understand sacrifice and compromise, which is the essence of marriage. Those who love do these things out of love of another, not grudgingly.

It is unwise to expect a significant other to change after marriage; it probably will not happen.
