Oh Yes!! Just thinking about it makes me itch. Ooooooh, stop it!!!!!

I was in high school out on a date. We had a blanket and some time to make out. Only problem is that we must have laid the blanket on top of a chigger mound as we became the feast. There was no way to know what was going on as we were too busy otherwise to notice.

I was so infested that my mother made me stay in our backyard pool for hours up to my neck. No swimming just standing in the water trying to drown the little buggers! I think I was in there for over six hours.

I looked like a glitter ball with all of the clear nail polish on me. We did not have chigger medicine back then and the doctor just told my mom to cover every bite with clear nail polish. Especially since drowning them did not work. Made me nice and shiny and hard to hide the problem from my peers. Boy did they razz me but good.

Remember.....boys and girls.....never lay a blanket down on a mound of chiggers.

My daughter was covered in chiggers 2 summers ago (poor baby she was so itchy) after a visit to grandpa's house in the woods! I neighbor of his gave us a tip of dabbling a little nail polish on each spot(I was sceptical at first) it suffocates the chigger. It worked pretty good!

Sorry, this isn't the Q's I thought it was. I'll just back out of it really slow so as to not attract attention.

Not me but my husband got them while swimming. I never seen anyone itch so bad, he was covered with them. Needless to say he was miserable for days.
