I just heard something that has really disturbed me... it was something called "grindcore". I'm listening to some James Taylor right now so the chills can go away...

yes, if you want to call half the music they have music, I guess I am just getting older but I like the 70's and 80's music better.

I think it all depends on what and who you listen to. I've never heard of that song, but i do understand what you're saying though, of course there are times when I listen to some songs from maybe 60s or 70s that actually shocks me, sort of because I don't expect to hear that kind of music from those years. But yeah, I tend to switch the music whenever I hear something that is really bothering me in a song.

Yeah, theres always going to be some sort of new music crap that comes out. But think of it this way, when Elvis came out, people thought HE was lude and disgusting at first. It's just a time/generation thing. "To each his or her own!" :)
PS Not all of the new music coming out these days is bad. Check out the Fratellis, Gnarls Barkley, OAR, and try to listen to the radio as little as possible (thats where most of the mainstream crap is).

Especially when there's no beat, no lyrics, no meaning, or a wisp of a song out of that trash coming from the radio.

So yes, screaming, cursing, and a repeating chorus that takes up 3/4 a song certainly disturbs me.

Grindcore sounds like something that wouldn't last in my house! My daughter listens to Alternative Rock, and I like most of that. I don't like Rap or any songs with that damn loud bass!

I would take JT over some of the stuff they call "music" any day! Seems like all you have to do to call yourself a musician these days, is grab an instrument, make some "NOISE" and poof, you get to call yourself a "Band".

present day so called music , some which not music at all is very annoying to hear, it brings out the angry caveman in me to seek out and destroy the horrible noise. some of this crap that is supposed to be songs are not because a song has to be sung, not spoken in a retarded rhymes.
