It says my norton has spyware protection built in yet I never see it do anything.it says its on automatic but.....my last webroot spyware ran all the time showing me the ones it has found etc.. anyone??

My copy of Nprton doesn't mention a check for spyware, but after the scan completes it tell me that no spyware was found, So it does work. In any case it's always best to have more than one spyware scanner on board as not all spyware / malware programs get picked up by one program. I reccomend Spybot search and destroy and Adaware SE. both free downloads.

No u dont need but u need with norton
You said the reason and that the computer slows down a lot coz of Norton everyone having Norton is switching to Mcafee
So why dont u get it too and it will not need any add-ons

Just because it's not telling your about what it's blocked doesn't mean it's not working. It was also included in the 2006 version. Personally, I think it's better that it runs silently, because I don't need another thing giving me more messeges. I get enough with my Yahoo email, eBay, Metacafe, and a few others.
