Some things don't show up until the next day. You need to go to your doctor who can provide the best treatment. In the meantime take some Motrin which at least will sooth the injured nerves and may provide some pain relief. You need to be seen by your doctor tomorrow to get the pain under control. Hope that you're pain free soon.

Ouch! I've done that number, and it really hurts. If by chec ked at the hospital you mean X-rays, and possibly even by just the MD's exam, and told you were "OK", then you likely are...but I'll bet nobody told you it wouldn't hurt like hell. I'm not trying to be a wise guy. It is probably just going to take a few days to get better. Are you able to stand? Bear weight? Move around some? It wouln'dt be suprising if you had pain "moving" to your legs, back. Do as your MD's instructed you, I'm sure they must have suggested Tylenol, or Asprin, or Motrin type meds. Or perhaps they gave you some pain meds. Take your meds...careful if you have any med allergies...and ride it out. When I did mine, I had actually a small fracture to my coccyx {your "tailbone"}...and it didn't really matter...no treatment except time and "if it hurts, don't do it". So, for right now, if some particular movement hurts...don't do it.
Hope you feel better!

I am sorry that you hurt yourself. It may help if you had one of those donut things to sit in so you wouldn't sit directly on your tailbone. If your back hurts do to muscular pain try a heating pad or some type of heating rub. Tylenol/Adivil should help some, but if it is still hurting real bad go see your doctor and let him/her check and see if you need a muscle relaxer or something. The tailbone itself is probably bruised and it may help to apply ice. I hope this is of help I can't think of anything else I would do. Feel better soon.

If it happened only yesterday the only thing I can really say is wait, like a few days or weeks. Other than that, when you touch your toes try not to arch your back, but bend down as far as you can while keeping your back straight and bend your knees the rest of the way.

I suffered similar back pain and it was due to nerves that got twisted up in my pelvic region which cause my unbearable pain in my back and down in my leg. I had to get two epidural(which are pain shots that are normally given before child birth) and took many prescribed pain pills which did little to nothing. After a few weeks i started to return to my normal activity
