Frozen carrots work really well. You can also get a fresh fruit feeder for babies. It allows you to put the fruit into a "net" and the baby can suck on it without getting the big pieces. I used one of these and put some carrots in...it worked great!

Hi I have a 14 month old who has been teething ALOT the last few weeks. We have found that the long pospicles ( think they are called pop ice, work really well. They numb the gums really well. Also anything cold like a wet washcloth works well too and if all else fails oragel and motrin can be a lifesaver, especially in middle of night, lol. GL.

Have you tried teething tablets? They're homeopathic, so there's no real medicine, but it's got chammomile and lavendar in them. You can get them in the aisle with the bottles and nipples. If you can't find them there, ask the pharmacy. Don't use orajel, it actually toughens the gums. Have you tried the teething toys that vibrate when the baby bites it? My son seems to like that. We also use the munchkin brand mesh feeders and put ice cubes in them. I don't know how old your baby is, but if he/she is eating solids...or even starting too, you can use refrigerated pickles or unsalted pretzel rods. Just a few ideas...

Try the frozen ice pops. Don't remove the wrapper. Just hold it so the baby can chew on it. No exposure to sugar! Frozen waffles are also good, but monitor closely so baby doesn't get it too gummy and a piece breaks off and gets swallowed.

I saw an episode of "Roseanne" once where Dan gave their baby a frozen waffle to teeth on. I thought that was a neat idea. What's a 'milk pill'?

Wash your hands well and let him/her go at your finger...unless the teeth have already broken though. If the baby is really fussy, try infant Motrin...it will at least take the edge off for awhile so the baby can get to sleep.

A teething toy that can be frozen, massaging the gums, a mesh food strainer(it shaped like a pacifier but it a small mesh bag with a ring on it and you can put foods that may choke baby in it.) with a cube of ice or frozen fruit in it.

If things like bongela wont work, have you tried old fashioned teething rusks. Other than that perhaps you should take a trip to the doctor or welfare nurse to get further suggestions.

Frozen waffles worked best for all of my sisters' kids. They don't eat it, they just knaw on it and the sweetness keeps them interested. Cut smaller pieces for them, they will last longer. It's softer on thier gums than icee pops.
Good luck!
