I think you should really talk to your parents about it. Whether or not they think you should get it. I don't think it's bad. But, then again, I have 5 in each ear.

It's a personal decision. I wouldn't mind if my 4 year old had 2 piercings. I told her piercings hurt a little and it's kept her from wanting one so far. But if she decided to get brave about it I'd let her. When she's 12 I told her if she wanted it, I'd get it done at the doctor's office for her birthday. I think 3 piercings might be a bit excessive at 4 years of age especially since the child is so active. But whatever floats one's boat I suppose. At 12 though, nah...I don't think it's inappropriate. It's cool. :-)

I had my 1st ear piercing at 12. I had my 2nd ear piercing at about 14 and that's all I've ever done to myself and I'm no longer a child. I have no tat's or other body piercings. I had my 2 daughters ears pierced once at 6 months old.

It depends, what does this mean to you? What does it represent? If it’s just a style you like, then I guess it’s okay if your parents agree also, of course. You gotta’a stay responsible and mature always. If the piercings mean being in, and you are just following everyone else, it´s not cool. If it’s the beginning of a series of gestures that scream for attention then that is not cool either. Well, hope you do the right thing for YOURSELF! ( If the reason is right and the earrings are cute, it can be really nice.)

i'm a bit biased since i had 5 in each ear, 2 lip, and 2 eyebrow piercings by the time i was 12, but i say as long as he/she's not dressing like a hooker they can do what they want, within reason. you can always take piercings out.

Of course. I had double pircings at 11 and I enjoy being able to have a few choices on what earrings to wear! Plus my parents said it was fine IF I REALLY wanted them. I really doesn't hurt to pirce them. You just gotta to keep them clean!!!

I can't believe that! I think one is plenty at any age. I only have one per ear and I'm 27 and pretty fashionable. I do have a couple tattoos though......

Heck NO! My daughter is fixing to be 12 and she better not even ask me can she get it. What I think that it's doing is letting those kids know that is what they need to look cute etc. At that age, they should be focusing on books not piercings. It is okay to wanna look cute but do not go over board.
