If you get a compact and lightly touch the little pad to your eyelid then it helps liner stay in place.

before putting on shadow liner, you should try using the primer from MAC. it comes in this little tube, but just using a little bit helps the liner stay on. i use it every time i put shadow liner because the line does tend to smudge after a while.

I'm not sure what a shadow liner is but I do know that Clinique makes a great eyeliner. I got complements on it when I wore it. Right now I am using just a regular black eyeliner pencil from Cover Girl. It's alright.

a waterproof one.
