One night after making love, I asked him to marry me. I knew if I didn't make the move it would take him a long time to ask, and I was at the point in the relationship that I needed to know if he felt the same way I did or if I should move on. Of course he said yes almost before I could get the words out, and it has been wonderful ever since.

He didn't...I did! That should have been a sign that we were doomed!! LOL..it was almost 20 yrs ago (this April it will be 0 yrs)...one night after a movie. We were walking to his car, it was raining and I was just so happy and high on life...I started dancing in the rain. I blurted out "marry me" and he said "ok".....19 yrs later...we are getting a divorce but I did get 4 totally awesome kids out of the deal so no major complaints.

Me and my Husband actually went and picked out our engagement rings together even before we were engaged. It was the day after Thanksgiving and than when he actually proposed to me, we were on our way to the movies to see a movie and he sang a little song to me in the car, told me how he felt about me and how he wanted to be with me for the rest fo his life, than he asked me to marry him.
I thought it was very sweet!!

My wife's uncle is a priest and would not let us live together unless we were married. I new fairly quickly she was the the one. My mom introduced us.
I said I loved her and we should get married and 9 months later we got married in a private ceremony

We were sitting in his truck, just gotten me the ring I wanted. We were talking about our friends who had just gotten engaged. He said 'So do ya wanna?' I said 'Wanna what?' He said 'Get married!' I said 'Yes!' He then pulled out the ring here ya go, have fun telling your grandfather...

my third husband and i was at cades cove he was parked and said I'm crazy about you id like to spend rest of my life with you will you marry me i thought a few minutes and said i would cades cove is in tennessee

on his knee in front of a bridal shop.... no ring, though...just an ice cream cone.
