I finally caved to my wife, and got her a cat for her birthday, as long as i pick it out. We didn't get to the SPCA in time, so we went to Petsmart. There was a cage on the floor seperate from the other cats, with claws flying out to whatever was close by. We got close to the cage, and he growled and was knawing something. The lady said that couples with kids couldn't take him, and he doesn't get along with other cats. Is this the right choise?

It depends on how strongly you feel about adopting and rescueing an animal... chances are no one will ever adopt this animal, and it will eventually be put to sleep. He WILL grow to love you and you wife as long as you devote time and energy to him-- i think it's worth it to save a lost soul that basically doesn't have a chance-- if you dont adopt him, his chances are slim! Consider it a project!!

Funny ! I like the story. Perhaps the "Killer cat from H***" was chewing on a previous customer and didn't want to share.
The question here is .. do you want the challenge of an anti-social cat and was the previous owner Steven King ?

well, as long as it isn't a large husky or malamute, thats ok, lol. Some people like having a tempermental cat. My friends cat bites and chases them a lot, which they think is cute. They will reprimand him if he gets too rough, but they like his activity.

if you are willing to devote the time and energy to him that he will need to become a well adjusted cat then yes. if not i would look for another cat.
