Borat is always dissing Uzbekistan and idk why. Does it say in the movie? I haven't finished watching it.

I think it's just a joke about how everyone hates everyone in that part of the world.

Probably many people will ask this question after watching Borat. Let's start from here: Are these two countries real enemies and Do they really hate each other ? The answer is not, because Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan never had a war or significant military conflict in the modern history. However, they are big rivals and were traditionally competing with each other over the control in their region.
There are two aspects of that rivalry :
1) Economically Kazakstan is rapidly progressing with striking economic performance, ideally this is one of the big success stories like South Korea or even Japan in the nearest future. Uzbekistan in this respect is lagging far behind with slow economic growth and bitter social problems.
2) In terms of human capital, or put it this way intellectual and cultural potential, Uzbekistan is an absolute leader: cultural infrastructure (number of theaters, museums, libraries, social life etc.) , education and medicine have been always better in Uzbekistan.
In general, it is believed that Uzbekistan has lost the race and the dominance in the region will be slowly picked up by Kazakstan, with difference in cultural and social infrastructure in favor of Uzbekistan being rapidly deteriorating as Uzbekistan will slip further into economic recession.

May be 'cos he thinks that all Muslims are like Branch Dravidian's from Waco,Texas and because the producers of the film are from the USA and are toeing the admin. line!
Looks like, After 9-11 the Administration encouraged Hollywood to portray all Muslims in low esteem. So much for looking for peace on this earth.
God help us all find peace on this planet.
