Okay so if you have been following me around the web you probably now I have a growing obsession with Eureka Seve. It seems everyday know I wake up and wish I was Renton with his reff board...But anyway

Is it Possible at all to make a hover board? I was thinking maybe some magnet that repels the earths field enough to float above it or something

but give me your ideas and please don't say that old hovercraft idea because I've tried that and I got about 1/2" of lift

O mercy, I've been fantasizing about building one for I-don't-know how many years!

It really could be done, magnetics won't do it since Earth's field is so weak, but a more conventional approach could work. Something reasonable might be a pair of counter-rotating blades of perhaps 1 meter diameter driven by about a 10 or 15hp snowmobile engine. Yes, your board would be something like 1.5 x 2.5 meters in size, but not so large you couldn't control it with body weight and a handgrip throttle cable, and fairly high performance enough if the skirt was done right.

This really could be done. Now who the hell is Eureka Seve and Renton?? Could you email me about it?
