Option 1, because no one can stop crime but rewarding good will result in more of it and therefore the world becomes a better place. If good is ignored there will be no reason to do so and therefore the few good people there are will dwindle smaller and smaller until there are none left.

I would have to choose the first one. A world in which only good is rewareded and evil is ignored. because when we do something that is good and we get rewarded after the good deeds that was done, we till tend to do more of it. as for the second one. evil is punished, well I tottally agree with that statement but when good is ignored, I don't agree with that. since I believe that most of the good things we do in our life, we usually benefit from that, or others well see that is what kept us doing more good things. If good is left ignored...then no person would care because no one well complement or rewarded for the good deeds then the good things won't be here for not too long and it well disapear. since good is left ignored no one would care no more and well drift toward the evil side for the attention and the notice from others. hope that helps!

Hmmm...an emphasis on positive reinforcement, or an emphasis on positive punishment...well, #1 would seem to lead to a more easy-going world. Evil would become extincted, as it would be unreinforced. Or so one would predict. Yet evil contains its own reinforcers, so it would not necessarily be extincted. And by "evil", do you mean murder and rape and armed robbery? Or does it include much more than undeniably wrong action? Actually, in order to provide a serious and thoughtful answer to this question, I would need an exact list of what would be considered "evil"...OR I can give an answer based on the assumption that "Evil" means "EVIL", and not some arbitrary moralism, in which case #2 would be the necessary choice, otherwise a psychopathic killer could spend his life killing everyone until no one was left. But then "punishment" is not the solution, as it wouldn't necessarily decrease the behavior. Hmmm....So should the emphasis be on increasing (reinforcing) good, or decreasing (punishing) evil...Well, I'll have to think about this some more.

That's really tough! Well....there are draw backs to both options as I'm sure your aware of...1) good should be rewarded but evil acts can never be ignored! and 2) evil must be punished, depending of course on what the 'evil' is, but the good things people should do shouldn't be ignored either.
However, I think that good prevails over evil...we all do our ''good deeds'' and i know if i do something good i don't want recognition for it...I'm satisfied with simply knowing i did what i felt needed to be done, something help someone who needed help, something that made me feel as though I'd made a small contribution to the world i live in and maybe did some good to change the bad things we face.
So, I'd say if i had to choose one world to live in I'd choose 2).
I feel that people will still do good things whether or not it is rewarded. I think we all do it everyday whether we notice it or not. And, evil can never win. It must not be allowed to in any sense of the word. That's just my opinion...Hope it helps some! Good Luck!!!

A world in which only evil is punished and good is ignored and by the way you should have posted this in Polls and Surveys more people would probably have answered it.

World 1 - it's about time we turned this crazy world around!
Sooner or later evil will tire of being evil if there is no acknowledgment or notoriety.
(wont they?)
