Because the PAC-10 is overrated like they are every year.

Stanford got in on the strength of their conference, which was very strong. I think UCLA will go to the Final Four and Washington State's got a great chance to make a run at it.

They had good wins against UCLA, Washington St., USC, and Texas Tech and Oregon. That was enough to overcome their inconsistency.

Because the tournament selection process is just as good as the bcs. Almost completly flawed.

because stanford beat teams like UCLA, arizona, virginia, washington state, USC, and oregon. who are all in the tournament. those are quality wins over good teams.

Yeah, they got rolled in the first round. One wonders whether they should've been there in the first place.
