Excellent points. Same would apply for capital punishment, the most fiercest opponents of the death penalty are also the most supportive of abortion. Strange how the mind works.

I am usually on the left, especially this issue. Outlawing abortion is stupid; it will only make getting them more risky for the health of the woman. These days, many young girls are drinking alcohol to excess to force a miscarriage because the shame of seeking a real abortion is too great. I find this more disturbing than them seeking qualified medical professionals to help end an unwanted pregnacy. Ideally they would not get pregnant in the first place, but this world if far from the ideal.
If you truly want to end abortions, start by reducing the need for the services of doctors who perform them-teach your children not only the facts of live, but the morals of life and the reality of life as well. Next, convince others that abortion is the wrong choice to make; so they will not see an abortion as the solution to their unwanted pregnacy. However, you must face defeat when they choose to have an abortion. It is a very difficult choice, but not one taken lightly.
Finally to answer your question, "If it is not OK to torture then why is it OK for abortion," the answer is "Who said abortion was OK?" The law says it is legal. However, the law also says that neo-Nazi and other hate groups can legally exist. Outlawing hate groups would only mean they will meet illegally. It would do nothing to stop them from forming and recruiting new members.

I've always been very perplexed at how many people who support a ban on abortion are often the same people who are pro-war.
Granted, that's not the case 100% of the time, but that is a trend.
People that affliate themselves with words like "republican" and "conservative" are often "anti-abortion" and "pro-war".
They get fired up about killing an unborn child through abortion, yet are ok with killing children living in other countries with bombs and bullets and mass displacement.
I'm not trying to be "smart" or funny ... this honestly perplexes me as the issue should be identical at the core: human life.
On a second note, it is very wrong to say that people who are pro-choice are "for abortion." Abortion is never a good thing for anyone. People who are pro-choice don't think its the government's place to instruct a woman what to do with her own body.

The problem with torture is how dependable can a confession be when someone is tortured until they confess? The #3 guy that confessed-he was tortured since 2003-can we believe the confession? Do we care if we got the right guy?
Abortion should be safe, legal and unnecessary. Don't know anyone that thinks it's "good".

it rather is nice using fact the two issues are not even remotely with regards to a minimum of one yet another. additionally, the blatant LIES you're spreading are precisely the form of rubbish that have been given Dr. Tiller killed. The regulation in Kansas became that any late term abortion had to have 2 different docs agreeing that it became medically needed. hence, what you declare became "reported" are in actuality out and out lies. They appeared at his archives and took him to trial in this. the reason he became acquitted became using fact he observed the regulation, and that those lies have been uncovered for precisely what they're. late term abortions are very, very uncommon, and are almost constantly finished using scientific necessity. Now, I understand that folk such as you will possibly prefer to have a mom be compelled to hold a ineffective fetus around in her physique for the previous few weeks (case in point), yet there is not any reason - scientific, ethical or ethical to stress that on a girl. the only way you seem to be able to physique the abortion debate is thru lies, distortions and absurd/unrelated comparisons. What does that say with regards to the capability of your argument? no person needs an abortion. possibly you ought to be putting a number of that capability into making particular that persons are taught complete, medically-based intercourse training ("abstinence basically" has shown to be a gloomy failure), and function get right of entry to to birth control. additionally, adequate with the overheated, idiotic rhetoric. It already has bring about the execution of a guy in his church, along with his kinfolk latest. you're part of the subject.

neither are OK,,, however, a woman has the right to choose,, especially because of rape or incest,, a boyfriend or a husband,, that won't step up to the plate and take responsibility for his child,, leaving mothers to make difficult decisions about the life of her child, alone,,,,
Torture should not be condoned,, the Geneva Convention was disregarded by Al Gonzales and Bush,,, they are wrong,, their incompetent,,, they have shucked their responsibility to Americans,,, down with the GOP

Abortion isn't the issue. CHOICE is the issue! And if you believe that any abortion is OK, than you don't really have the right to criticize anyone else.

Who thinks abortion is ok? Only you right wing nuts think everyone else thinks that. That's because you drink the kool-aid instead of thinking for yourself.
And if you have to ask why torture is not right, I guess you are beyond redemption.

What does abortion have to do with torture? Absolutely nothing and you cannot compare the two. I could go into my own debate about it, but the fact is you have your own views and beliefs, thus no matter what I say is going to change that.

Well, fortunately for you, you don't have to have an abortion now do you?
If you don't have a uterus or have never had one, your opinion doesn't count.
Go find some manly pursuit like watching football or burping or something - and stay out of the female womb.
