Ok, So I know this probably doesnt work but I just want to be sure. Is there any way I could use a desktop-flatscreen as an attitional TV, like can I attach the flatscreen to the TV and be able to watch TV on that?

the tv has a built in tuner. the only way to turn the monitor into a tv is if you connect it somehow to a tuner. the easiest way to that is to get a tv tuner card for your computer.

If it has the proper inputs, you can hook your cable or cable box or whatever directly to it. If not, some computers (including mine) come with TV-tuners that you can connect to. Then you use software (such as Media Center or Nero Showtime) to view television or movies, etc.

Yes, because the Dell I just purchased offered the additional hook-ups to do that with. Check with a local electronics store.

You sure can you will need an adapter to convert the singals, or if your flat screen has a S-video plug you can plug it directly to your video recorder, dvd, or tape rcorder.

if u wanna watch tv on the computer monitor than u need a TV monitor...

you just need a video capture card for your pc and then you can watch tv.
