i usually don't go to church very often...is it normal to invite people to church? im just reallllly confused

Yes, this is normal. This person probably just wants to invite you to be a part of this part of their life. Don't stress over it. If you are interested, then go. If you don't like it, then no big deal.

yes,it is totally normal to invite people to church. a lot of times that is how people start going to church. most people would not go unless invited.

It is doubtful that it has a personal meaning. Sounds like he is recruiting. I wouldn't give it any special meaning.
